Between Fear and Love
When fear enters a conversation that matters, what becomes possible if someone chooses love instead?
Fear can protect what matters, but it can also narrow what we see and how we see one another. This Circle explores the space between fear and love, and what can become possible when we choose how to meet a difficult conversation.

Why this question
Fear is part of being human. It warns us when something matters, sharpens our attention, and can move us to protect what we love. But fear can also narrow the field. It can make another person look like a threat, turn uncertainty into certainty, and make defending ourselves feel more urgent than understanding what is actually happening.
Love asks something different of us. Not sentimentality, passivity, or agreement, but the willingness to remain open to another person’s humanity while staying present to what is true. That choice can be difficult precisely when the stakes feel highest.
This Circle begins there: with the space between fear and love, and with the possibility that what we choose in that space can change the conversation.
