The Public Launch of Human Flourishing

The Case for Optimism

Why we’re hopeful about human flourishing, and how
we get there — one honest conversation at a time.

Friday, October 16, 2026 · Sheraton Mesa Hotel at Wrigleyville · Mesa, Arizona
Doors 5:30 · Program 6:00–9:00

You’re Invited

Human Flourishing is built on one question:

what allows people, and the societies they build together, to flourish?

The question is ancient. Our way of pursuing it is specific — honest inquiry, evidence before assumption, and a framework of seven pillars holding what humanity has learned about living well. At the center is the Pledge: a commitment to that inquiry and to one another, on its way to one million signatures.

An inquiry that large has a precondition: people who can actually talk to each other. So the work begins with conversation — the kind where you stay in the room long enough to understand someone who answers the question differently, and come away with something you didn’t walk in with.

October 16, 2026 is the night this work launches to the world. You’ll hear from people who’ve spent years on the question, and then the room turns and the question becomes yours.

The question of the evening sits beneath nearly every exchange that goes wrong and every one that goes right.

It is the choice between fear and love.

Human Flourishing is a non-partisan movement pursuing an old question with new seriousness: what allows people, and the societies they build together, to flourish? The Pledge is the commitment a person chooses to make to that question. The seven pillars are the framework for pursuing it. The aim is a world where people flourish together across every difference that could keep them apart — where division no longer decides what’s possible.
